Markair Components Pty Ltd is a national wholesaler and manufacturer of fans, blowers and electric motors.
We are distributors for some of the largest global fan companies, including ebm-Papst, Ziehl-Abegg, Fasco and CMG (Divisions of Regal Beloit Group), Multiwing, Torin and Lau Industries. Our relationships with our suppliers span decades in many cases and it is through these valued relationships we can provide the highest quality wholesale products at very competitive prices.
In addition to this, Markair Components has manufactured fans, blowers and sheet metal components for close to 40 years, making us the oldest fan manufacturer in the country. For our customers, this means that we have seen it all, and our knowledge regarding the relationships between fans, motors and drives and the various effects these components have on HVAC systems or commercial and industrial air movement processes as a whole is paramount to our success.
Markair Components History
Founded in 1976 by Graham Oates, Markair Components Pty Ltd began its life as a supplier of replacement parts and components to the local HVAC industry. Following Graham’s retirement shortly thereafter, the reins were passed to Gerald Collins, who oversaw the expansion of the company into Sydney and the move to larger manufacturing facilities in Mulgrave, Victoria to facilitate the rapid growth that Markair was experiencing. During this time, Markair solidified its relationship with Lau Industries USA, becoming the sole Asia Pacific distributor of Lau products, a relationship still enjoyed today.
Through the 80s and 90s, Markair continued its growth with the acquisitions of Gammut Industries and the manufacturing operations of Muller and Trane Air Handling Unit divisions, further expanding the offerings in the forward curve market and expanding our ability to provide stainless steel fan products.
During these years, Markair also began its long and fruitful relationships with ebm-Papst and Ziehl-Abegg, supplying replacement fan components to the HVAC markets, as well as continuing to supply HVAC and industrial frame single and three phase AC motors through its relationships with the Fasco Group and CMG.
Today, Markair continues to supply fans, blowers and motors to a vast range of industries in national and international markets, continuing its mission to provide as many locally produced products and opportunities for employment as is possible and supporting local industries to the best of our ability.
